Have you ever tried to delete, move or modify a file, only to get an error message that the file is open in another program? Your only option would be to close the program and try again. The problem is, it might not be clear which program has locked the file, and finding it can be an uphill task. Luckily, Locked Files Manager breaks this barrier by helping you to identify the process that is locking the file in question, and then it allows you to stop the process that’s using the file. This way, you can easily move, modify or delete the file.

To launch Locked Files Manager, install Auslogics BoostSpeed, go to the “All Tools” tab, navigate to the bottom of the page, and select the Locked Files Manager option. This takes you to the Task Manager tab displaying all the files in your system and the programs that have locked them. To unlock a file, simply find it, right-click it and select “Unlock File”.

That’s it! Now you can go ahead and modify, move or delete the file.
